tim hill has compiled all the most reliable information from many sources, notably Mrs. Kennedy by barbara leaming... and this is the Whole Truth and nothing but the truth - about this exceptional couple and the problems AND the things we didn't know at the time - max jacobsen, mary meyer/phil graham, lbj... reading this, i finally felt i understood what really happened - Camelot WAS a myth - but that is not to take anything away from the enduring contribution these revered people made to America - it's hard to imagine how we'd have been different, not better, had Richard and Pat Nixon been in the White House from 1960-68... Barack Obama is right that the kennedys and the reagans were the transformative presidencies in post-war america - and the obama administration will be the kennedy administration 2.0 -
