Though the listed age level is 4-8 years, my 19-month-old daughter loves this book. She is very drawn to the art and the bright colors. Usually, she doesn't have the patience to sit through much text, but she likes this story. I have been trying to teach her a little bit of Spanish, so I appreciate being able to teach her numbers and new words as we count the things Josefina makes. When she gets older, she'll be more aware of learning about the art associated with her 1/4 Mexican heritage.
