For all of us who love Ghosts, Vampires, Voodoo, and all that good stuff, then this is the book to read. If you live in New Orleans or not, it is a great book. I really enjoyed the many famous and not famous ghost stories of New Orleans. The parts on Voodoo were extremely intersting. It kept my interest because it told me about a religion I never new about. The vampire portion of the book taught me about Vampires and things I never knew, or would have even thought about. This book provoked thought and interest. I love it and I give it five stars. It is a tantalizing piece of literature which I would recommend for anyone to read, new ager or not, New Orleans resient or not! It was great.

I took the vampire/ghost tours in New Orleans twice and this book is the perfect companion with more stories to tell. Warning! DON'T READ IT AT NIGHT!:) Excellent!
Great counterpart to the tour

I bought this book after attending the 2 hour Vampire Walking Tour of New Orleans, and this book is a perfect companion piece to it. The book is fairly detailed and highly (if somewhat unsettlingly)graphic. A lot is chronicled in 140 pages or so, and the stories are fascinating and easy to read. One slight gripe I had was that some of the stories that get only one paragraph in the book get a full blown detailed account on the tour, which is why I guess they sell it after the tour is over. Overall, very very good.
Good Book

Very informative and interesting. After recently visiting New Orleans for the fist time I was interested in learning more about the rumors of ghosts. This book gives street names and adresses of the buildings talked about and detailed history of the buildings and previous buildings that were in the same locations. Easy to read and hard to put down. I suggest reading this before you go or while you are in New Orleans.
