Have you ever wondered if a miracle is orchestrated by your choices or by a power outside of your control?

I have. Thousands of words ago, I started on a journey to share my life legacy with whoever picked up this book. It was a labor of mixed emotions and humility as I have purposed in my heart to be honest and genuine in relating the deeply personal recollections of a carefree young lad from Canada who would never have believed what lay ahead for him! What adventures, joys, sorrows, fears, failures, dreams, nightmares, triumphs, defeats, challenges, and victories would be mine to experience under the watchful eye of my loving God.

It is not my desire to spin a tale of pain and suffering but to keep focusing on those milestones of my Lord Jesus' faithfulness-even in providing me with new medical advancements developed by the brilliant minds of research and medical professionals to help me battle cancer as we seem to be reaching the end of things to "try." When you face your mortality, you take stock of your life-what is truly important. You survey your journey with the eyes of wisdom and survey the legacy you leave behind. These words from Job ring true for me:

"But He knows where I am going, and when He tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God's paths; I have followed His ways and not turned aside. I have not departed from His commands but have treasured His Words more than daily food. So He will do to me whatever He has planned. He controls my destiny."
