Beautifully written stories that stay with you

Set aside some time to read this book because once you start, it's hard to put down. The sexual scenes are at times raw, tender, shocking and intimate but always thought-provoking. Ultimately what sets this anthology apart from other erotica are the authors. Each author has such a distinct style and voice that leave you wanting Juicy Mangos II!

Juicy Mangos casts its fragrant spell from Page 1: It made me laugh, made my nether regions tingle, and in the case of the librettos, "Juan and Adela" and "A Kiss from Lares," made me shed a tear or two. Tucked in between the steamy sex scenes (of which there are a plethora of hot-to-death ones of every permutation) are passages so tender, so beautifully written, so intelligently designed, it sometimes took my breath away--as did the magical realism of the final novella, "La Lunaria," with its phantasmal plot and lush imagery. The nature of erotica is, of course, pura fantasia--but beyond the prurient lies raw pathos and unabashed emotion--resulting in lusty love stories told from a thinking woman's point of view. Wow, finally a book that I as a latina can relate to. All the stories were well written and left you at the end of your seat. I especially loved the story of "A Kiss for Lares" by Elisha Miranda. I loved the book so much I bought another one and mailed it to my sister for her birthday this month. This is the first erotica book I've ever read, how about a Juicy Mangos II?

Finally - a book comes out that treats Latinas as sexual creatures, but not as sexual objects. I happened to get an early review copy of this book and I was pleasantly surprised by its contents. This book is just as smart as it is sexy and will entertain anyone with a libido and a vivid imagination. I highly recommend it to everybody.
