Classroom-tested games, puzzles, and activities use curiosity and competition to motivate students. This resource is divided into eight major sections--Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is in English but I really bought it to use with Spanish classes. It has a bunch of adaptable ideas, design your own zoo, bowling game, Fifty Points game with dice to teach numbers to 50, Questionable Talk conversation using only questions-no statements, Picture Surprise where answering questions reveals a picture, Race to the World to find world cities, and Stairway spelling words game. For those not looking for foreign language ideas, it has many word searches for sports and oceanography, extra practice for math, geography state activities, logic puzzles, Mad Lib type pages and more. Many classroom games are included such as the Matching Treasure Hunt game where you match things such as capitals and states, Standoff with facts where the winner is the last one standing, Bingo using the Periodic Table, Action spelling. While it says intermediate I think some of the activities could still be used into middle school.
Learning can be fun!

This book has a large variety of different games to be used in the classroom. The students like to play games because they think they aren't learning and the teacher likes it even more because the students ARE learning! The students reinforce the concepts taught which helps them to keep what they have learned in long-term memory. This book is great for all students!
