The gritty reality and harrowing adventures of JAARS mission aviators and technicians living and working on the edge of the civilized world come to life in this new book by Dane Skelton. Based on a... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Kipling's fiction about the Jungle pales before the true stories of Jungle Flight. Harrowing life and death adventures cast a new light on the sometimes romanticized lives of missionary pilots and the people they serve, sometimes with antiquated equipment tenuously promising a safe journey. The spiritual provision in desperate situations is awe inspiring, as is the just in time provision of material needs. Anyone who donates to missions will relish this book for a fresh glimpse to what is happening in the field.
God's encouragement to those who labor in His vineyard

Dane Skelton has done a nice job of relating how God blesses those who step out in faith to do his work. The book is a series of true stories about JAARS which is a Christian mission organization that flies Wycliff Bible translators into remote parts of the world to do their important and often dangerous work. The book is straight forward and the stories are wonderful. It turned out that I actually had met one of the important characters who donated his airplane to the JAARS mission. An easy and uplifting read. Enjoy!
Riveting, inspiring, not just for pilots

Fabulous opening chapter! Pilots will spend hours re-creating the scene in their minds, chair flying their own plane with their family in the cabin. This book is an inspiring challenge to use your life for God's purposes. Great for family dinner-table reading aloud.
Jungle Flight by Dane Skelton

It's beautiful. I thought, for someone like me--284 combat flights in Vietnam, bush and mountain flying in Canada and Laos--this would be mind candy. It's far beyond a book about aviation. I don't want to say much more--it would spoil it for you. Just let me say that I had difficulty seeing the pages of several chapters. The air conditioner was getting to my sinuses. Paul M.
