"Hilarious. Barbara Park makes reading fun." --Dav Pilkey, author of Dog Man Barbara Park's #1 New York Times bestselling chapter book series, Junie B. Jones, has been keeping kids laughing--and reading--for more than twenty-five years. Over 65 million copies sold Meet the World's Funniest Kindergartner--Junie B. Jones There's going to be a pet day at school, only guess what? No dogs allowed And that's the only kind of pet Junie B. has If Mother and Daddy won't buy her a new pet, Junie B. will just have to find one on her own. Like maybe a jar of ants. Or a wiggly worm. Or--could it be--something even better? USA Today "Junie B. is the darling of the young-reader set." Publishers Weekly "Park convinces beginning readers that Junie B.--and reading--are lots of fun." Kirkus Reviews "Junie's swarms of young fans will continue to delight in her unique take on the world. . . . A hilarious, first-rate read-aloud." Time "Junie B. Jones is a feisty six-year-old with an endearing penchant for honesty."
I am a retired teacher, and I read this and all the other Junie B. books to my kids. They adored them! They would beg for “1 more chapter, please!!” and then I discovered that the teacher next door was opening her office door so her class could listen, too! I enjoyed hearing that, so I invited them over for story time! Junie B. became a school-wide favorite. The characters are so like kids, the dialogue is spot-on Kindergarten, and the “terrible messes” Junie B. finds herself in are so typical of the horrors of childhood (!) that we could all sympathize with her. I will continue reading these books to my grandkids, nieces and anyone else who’d like to listen. They are great!
Even my hubby loves Junie B.

My daughter started reading these at 4 and loves them. She just laughs and laughs. They are written just like little kids talk and they are really cute. We have almost all of the Junie B. books and this is one of my husband's favorites.
This is a very funny book - a kid's review

I like this book because it is very funny. Junie B. Jones' class has pet day. Junie B. Jones doesn't know what to bring to school for pet day. Her grandma found a worm but she didn't want to bring it to school because it is slimy. Her grandma caught a fish from the lake. Junie B. Jones put it in a fish bowl. She wanted to bring it to school but she didn't. Junie B. Jones found something in the refrigerator. She decided to bring it to school. She brought it to school and it was a FISH STICK! I thought that was very funny. Junie B. was very glad. Do you know why? She was very glad because she got a prize and she got a ribbon. It says her pet was the "Most Well Behaved"! I recommend this book to others who like Junie B. books. I hope you enjoy this book.

This book is about a girl named Junie B. Jones. Junie B. Jones doesn't have a pet for pet day at school, she doesn't want to bring Twitter her grandma's bird. She has a problem and she yells at her grandma and she is mad at her mom because her mom is looking at the worm. Junie`s grandpa get's all of there dog pictures and showed Junie the pictures of their dog. This book is entertaining because it will make you laugh all over. The author wrote this book and it's funny. If you read this book you will laugh too. It's funny because she brought a fish stick to school to show. I am happy to tell people about this book because I think they will love it. They will laugh and I think they will tell other people. And they would get it for their mom or dad to read.
A book review by a 9 year old girl.

I'll tell you a little bit about it. First I was at my table when all of a sudden my teacher stood up and clapped her hands. Boys and girls, I've got some very exciting news. Next week is pet week and to celebrate, room nine is going to have pet day. That's all I'm telling you right now, but there are no dogs allowed and that's the only pet Junie B. has. So she has to get another pet like maybe a jar of worms, or, could it be, something even better? Well you're going to have to find out for yourself.
