I would highly, highly recommend this review book to any person planning to take the ACT, whether the exam is next week or next month. When I took the PLAN test (pre-ACT) I was projected to get a 28 on the ACT. My lowest score on that test came from the english section. However, after about 2-3 weeks of intense study of this book, I managed a 34 on the ACT and a 36 on the english section. This book may not help you quite that much, I don't know, but when they say "We Guarantee a Higher Score," they arn't kidding. I know a lot of your friends may tell you that there's no reason to study for the ACT/SAT, it just tests what you already know, but these people are wrong. It's not all about what you know, its about applying what you know in taking the test, and this book prepares you extremely well for this. Once again, highly recommended.
Extremely helpful!

I used this book SIX years after graduating from high school and I ended up getting a higher score (26) than everyone else I know who took it senior year! This book was extremely helpful in getting test ready, and it explained exactly what the test would be like. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took my first ACT as a junior last spring and satisfied in the results. My idea about standarized test is that you can't really study, but to learn test-taking tips and work hard at school (I got 35 on Math; I didn't study at all on math). This book teaches you the tips & and it's not lengthy and freaky-looking like Barron's. Also, English review in the Appendix is very helpful; I read that section over right before test and I think it helped me do well in English section (I'm an ESL student.)Now I'm actaully going to go through this book and take ACT again in september; If you're taking ACT, get this book.
Great book!

My daughter doesn't usually do very well on standardized tests, so she's very apprehensive about taking the ACT in December. We bought this book on the recommendation of a friend, and already she's feeling much more confident about the ACT. The great part about the book is that it's not simply vocabulary lists and practice tests -- it also explains what the test is, provides strategies for doing well, and even includes a very complete review section for EACH section of the ACT. It does have a lot of practice tests, too, which works well because she'll be practicing for the next few months.
