Great Book

Instead of reading the whole book of synopsis of psychiatry by Kaplan & Sadock, I read this one and did all the questions and studied all answers. I got very high scores in PRITE every year and pass written board with scores over 90%. The questions are more difficult than PRITE and written board. Highly recommended.

Excellent text, great explanations, easy to read, much better than the full edition .I used it all along during my Residency training.

Together with the sinopsis of psychiatry this book is an ideal tool to acquire a good deal of knowledge and preparation for the exams (in my case the MRCPsych part 1 in UK). This will really boost your possibilities!. Good luck!

This is an excellent companion to Kaplan and Saddock. I found the toxicology review particularly helpful. The questions are sometimes too detailed but very thought provoking. Good for any behavioral science/ psych course.
