Karen Brown has an ability to find not only great places, but great places with great people. I've used her book and stayed at many of her recommendations and at each place the people were wonderful. I no longer use any other guide book for accomodations. Her's is simply the best.

I just rated the previous (negative) review as helpful. Then I stopped to think about it. I have used Karen Brown guides several times and have always been delighted with her recommendations. Now I'm wondering about the basis for beedubs' comments. How many of the inns did he actually visit and exactly what were his complaints? Why not help us out by being more specific? I confess I haven't read this edition, but based on my own experiences I'd give Karen the benefit of the doubt. Where else would one go for the kind of advice she gives? Do others share beedubs' opinion of this edition?

I have used this little book, and so has my dear old mom! All I can say is that it is worth every penny. I was so happy with the B & B's this book brought me to, I actually E-mailed the publisher to tell them how happy I was. Kudos, Cheers, Props, Salutations, and big ups to Karen Brown. I do not even look at other B & B books anymore!BUY IT, USE IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET!

She does an awesome job illustrating various routes to take and where to stop and stay. better then most other guide books.

I highly recommend the reading of this very practical guide to choosing your bed and breakfast in France. I did and I was very pleased with the accomodations, I am telling all my friends that are thinking of going to France to buy it. It is worth every penny!
