I purchased this book for my 1st grade classroom. The students loved the story and could relate to everything that happened to Katie. The simple text allowed the kids to read the book and promote their self-esteem in being an independent reader. The story allowed for a great discussion of events that happen as you grow and why some things are better than others.

My 4 year old loves this book. She is learning to read and it is simple. It is also letting little kids learn that being little is OK and has benefits.
