Is it possible to have the wrong Jesus? Bible critics and scholars are talking about the difference between the Jesus Christ of Christianity and the historical Jesus. But who is the historical Jesus?... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Excellent resource for those who wish to learn about Yeshua (Jesus) and His teachings from the perspective of the Hebrew culture and language. An eye-opener for those who may not realize that Jesus was, and always will be, Jewish. If you are familiar with traditional Christianity, prepare to have your thoughts challenged - not with a "new twist" on the Bible, but with an investigation of Yeshua and His words in the original Hebrew setting.
Incredible insight

Ive now have purchased 3 of these for myself and friends. This book is a must read for those who are seeking greater inlightenment about scripture, Jesus, and His culture. You will not be displeased. Most Christians forget the Jesus was Jewish, and as modern day Christians we lack the understanding of their culture. This book helps deliver greater understand about the scripture "let the dead bury the dead". It alone is worth the price of the book, but its loaded with understanding the corner stone, the presession of the King and the widow's son who He raises from the dead. I cant say enough, Buy the book and read it!
Historically and spiritually enlightening!

This book helps to put the Bible in its proper Jewish historical context. Written in an easy to read enjoyable, even humorous style, I found myself barely able to put the book down. Chock full of solid truths that will truly deepen your relationship to God and understanding of the Bible. Much more solid than a lot of the "fluff" that is on the market today!!
Great reading!

King of all who believe

The Christian Jesus is way off the mark. Yeshua clearly practiced Orthodox Judaism. He never criticised nor corrected Moses. His arguments with others was limited to Halakhah. Where the traditions of the Judaism of his time were in conflict with the Torah (AKA the Law) He provided correction. Where those traditions did not conflict with God's laws, He had little to say and it appears that He honored them. Yeshua upheld every verse of the Torah and the Prophets as he made clear in Matthew 5. He is misunderstood today (as is Paul) because we are unfamiliar with the culture of his time. But those listening to him did understand. Those today who are interested in understanding the Jesus of the Scriptures will profit by this book as Daniel Lancaster does a masterful job in this volume.
