To help you grow in faith, I want to approach the word of God in a slightly different way; not just as a physical book with a reliable record of God speaking in sacred history, nor as merely an historical book being examined from a critical point of view. That's already been done. It has stood up to the test of critics and unbelievers alike. The Bible itself is a miracle of divine providence. It is not only the most widely read book in human history, it is also the most credible, authenticated, historically researched book that has ever been examined. It is not fiction or myth. What I want to do is bring you along on a journey to discover the Author behind the manuscript, the voice behind the spiritual words, recorded on paper by writers moved by the Holy Spirit, but sacred words that are miraculously able to be inscribed on human hearts and still able to save us today. What was his divine intent? I want to approach the word of God as a listener wanting to hear his voice. This is the living word, the Spirit that gives life that is behind the written word. This is the word that points to the Eternal God, the Spirit-breathed word that leads us to know the person of Christ Jesus, the Word who became a man and lived among us.
