"Old Oaks Ave is where most teenage boys like my own didn't dare to travel alone, especially at night. Often this was where one proved his bravery and by the look of my position I would assume I'm next." Disappearances. That's what the abandoned house was known for ever since it took the first child in 1997. Rumor has it that a family use to dwell there, but once their beloved daughter went missing the family left, leaving the home to corrode. Now my fellow youth use it as a means of 'bravery'; if one can enter this home and return unscathed they gain respect and honor. I cared not of the newly awaited titles that so many craved. For this home holds the key to finding my father; he too attempted this when he was my age; knowing little of my existence. Therefore, I intend to follow through and unravel the secrets that await me on the other side. I know not what I may face, nor do I know of the heartache that may come to be, answers is all I seek, and for the sake of my mother who has become a pariah among the locals; she too will gain closure and perhaps if I survive, if I somehow gain proof; we can rid our town of this house, of this killer, and of these sorrowful memories of lost loved ones.
