I am not sure why one of the previous reviewers believes that this book is "incorrect in terms of breed." I did look at one of her other reviews and noticed that she is/was president for the Australian Labradoodle Association, so she probably has her own agenda and reasons for pointing prospective dog owners to the Australian labradoodle. Australian labradoodles (multigens) and labradoodles (F1/F1B) both have advantages and disadvantages; the book mentions some of these. Both can make wonderful family pets. And both have their own unique problems. I have read several labradoodle books, and this book represents the most complete that I have come across so far. It is not a perfect book; it definitely would have benefited from a better copy editor (typographical errors throughout). And more information could have been included in some instances. For example, some information about the coat change or all the grooming involved (time and money) to prevent mats in non-shedding dogs would have been helpful. Education is the key to picking out the perfect labradoodle--just make sure it doesn't come from a biased source.
