The Baron:
Garrett is a Baron of the Cinque Ports and has sworn allegiance to King Edward III to keep the channel safe from pirates. While on a journey to Great Yarmouth, he discovers a pirate ship that has been evading his capture. When he boards the ship to overtake them, a sudden storm at sea pushes his ship off course and leaves him stranded alone with the scuppers of the sea.

Echo is the daughter of the infamous pirate, Captain Powell ap Llyr. She has been raised aboard a ship full of cutthroats while trying to live up to her father's expectations. Echo is determined to take the place of the son he always wanted and never had. When a handsome baron is trapped aboard the ship, it brings back memories of the past, and she decides she can't let him die at the hands of her father and crew. Echo plans his rescue, but never planned on having to pretend she is a lady once she steps foot back on shore.
