Universal dictionaries are popular with language students and tourists alike. They are small enough to fit in a pocket or handbag, yet comprehensive enough (there are over 30,000 references in this... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this book in preperation for the begining of a foreign exchange year in Germany, and I use it just about every day!!! It's become my best pal when it comes to a word I just can't think of! The worst part is (and I should be ashamed) that a lot of the time now, I've got to look up a word I only know in German to find out the English, because I know what it means, but can't remember English anymore. So, of course the best way to learn a language is to move to the country, but then sometimes you just need a little help, even after 8 months here, I still need to look up some German words... and in the begining I was looking up a lot of words to make my point known in German, but now... I'm looking up words to remember them in English.... But every traveler deffenately needs a nice compact dictionary. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially for those spending any time in Germany! I've deffenately got my $7.95 use out of it! Love it! and Langenscheidt is generally a great brand too! Tschüß! und wie immer, Viele Grüße aus Schmalkalden/Thüringen, Deutschland! -- Adam from Ohio

I like the German language because it is easy to pronunce and I think this book is very good for people who want to learn how to speak German and English fluently, like me.
