This is an absolutely lovely play. The subject is something like Shakespeare's play "Twelth Night," a humorous love story with occasional mix-ups and confusion for the characters. Marivaux is a great writer, the play is beautifully written, and would be a joy to read for that alone. The plot is interesting, not too predictable, and will keep you turning pages.
