The highly successful third edition of Learning Disabilities and Brain Function remains a classic text for professionals and students in the field. This book combines well-developed theoretical orientation with practical suggestions and pertinent case studies, for a highly integrated multidisciplinary approach to learning disabilities in children and adults. Third edition contains timely new chapter on Attention Deficit Disorder.
The book was published in 1993 and still retains considerable information about learning disabilities, and how these are influenced by brain abnormalities. Many topics are covered. Notably Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, aphasia and dyslexia. But perhaps the authors could be induced to come out with a more recent edition? There surely must have been considerable progress in the interim. Especially in studying the functional anatomy of the brain. Improvements in diagnostics and the ability to stimulate ever smaller regions of the brain have been significant.
