When you're 18, life gets complicated Miranda has always been the "good" girl: good grades, good manners, good grief. She's so tired of always doing the right thing -- and waiting for her real life to... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is a great book for young adults to learn more about what they might want to do in the future. She has already experienced education, what she really wants to do now is experience real life. I was blown away when I read this book. The way she talked about New York City and described it. It made me want to learn more about the cultures and the different places there. At the end of the book she left the readers hanging, wanting to know whats going to happen next and it was great!

I remember reading endless blurbs about On the Road : '...changed the life of millions...' bla bla bla, so I took the plunge and read it, expecting the joy ride of my life. At the time I felt the reading was rather slow going and patchy in places and turned the last page feeling distinctly unchanged. However it was not until weeks later that I realised the profound effect it had had on me. While the influence of most books finishes on that last page, 'On the Road' left something behind. There's something warm at the roots of my consciousness that's still growing now, a year on. It's the reason I take that extra step to stop life being just a routine. And so now I understand it's power. I read an interview with David Bowie the other day, it's the reason he left his old life behind too, before he really went for life. Maybe if you read this book too late, when you're too stuck in your ways, it can't find a way into you. But I know it's changed me.

A friend of mine recommended this book to me and I loved it! I read it in one day. The character of Miranda is so funny and smart and the book makes you feel like you know her personally. It's like you're travelling with her. I loved reading about the cool things she does in New York with her friend Kirsten. Definitely check this one out!
I loved it!

A great introduction to what I hope will be a great series of books. Once I started reading it I could not put it down (stayed up into the middle of a couple nights until I got to the last page). I can't wait to see what happens to Miranda next!!! -A. Looba
