Description from the back of the book: Jenny Fletcher had selflessly put her needs and dreams behind those of her fiance, Hal, a man more committed to a cause than to her. On the eve of his departure for Central America, he gave Jenny what she wanted more than anything...one passionate night. It was his final gift, for he didn't return home alive. In every way Cage Hendren was the opposite of his brother, Hal. Wild and reckless, t he black sheep of the family, he was all rough edges, with a soft spot for just one thing: Jenny. It was Cage, not Hal, who showed her the meaning of ecstasy that night. It was his child, not Hal's that Jenny carried. And he'll do everything in his power to show her that he'd led her astray to prove that the right man had been there all along... * I randomly picked this book out of the 200+ that I have on my shelves to read & embarrassingly I was disappointed with my selection at first. I thought this was going to be a book that I couldn't wait until the ending came but boy was I ever wrong. This is a book that I will hold on to & one of my favorites. This is one of those times where the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" comes into play. This book is a must read. Don't pass it up. Following up to let you all know that there is another book that follows this one, The Devil's Own, it's a very good book & you will see quite a bit more of Jenny & Cage in it. Enjoy!!
A definite reread

With 12 reviews already (2/01), there isn't much more I could say without giving away the entire book. This was a very enjoyable 'romance'. The emotions were real and the love scenes were beautifully written. It is a fast read (250 pgs) that I will certainly read again. pub. 1985

A very good read. I really felt for Cage. Having parents that clearly preferred the other son must be a terrible thing. Shame on the parents!! I was happy that Jenny treated him special as no own else did. I think they made a perfect couple and I'm thrilled I read it. I enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed Mirror Image which is/was my very favorite Sandra Brown book. Mirror Image is my favorite romanctic suspense, while Led Astray is my favorite romance.
I loved this book!

I loved the characters in this book. I have re-read it many times and it's still good. I would recommend it. You can read more about Jenny and Cage in the "Devil's Own" which is about a rescue sponsored by the Hendren Foundation.
