Fascinatingly insightful and hopeful page-turning account of one woman's encounter with ultimate rejection. TV journalist Kimberley Kennedy went from having it all to complete devastation, rejection, and public humiliation when, like a Lifetime movie scenario, her fiance literally left her at the altar. Fortunately, her story did not end at the church. With candor and humor, Kimberley shares the most personal details of her life as she journeys from devastation to a deeper understanding of what happened and how she found not only healing but hope to someday find her Mr. Right. The intimate woman-to-woman inspirational journey includes: Stories of women who were left at the altar How to deal with feelings of anger towards God The little black dress analogy How not to let your rejection define who you become Tools for healing and moving on How to laugh, love again, and return to dating Ultimate insight from men who have been rejectors
Although I wasn't left standing at the altar, the man who promised to marry me broke up with me for another woman before our wedding date was set. I was devastated! Kimberley's story is such an encouragement to any woman who has been through this heartache. God can heal us if we just draw near to Him, and He can restore the love we lost with something better. Although it is incredibly painful to be abandoned by the man you love, there is hope for a bright future. Have faith! Courageous Journey

from Diane Penn, Palm Springs, CA Kimberley suffered a shattering blow to her sense of self, as she tells her story in "Left at the Altar." It left her vulnerable, like going through a dark tunnel. One of the fascinating parts is just when you think she is almost at the end of that tunnel, she is hit with another blow. But, she made it through. Courageous journey. I couldn't put it down. And neither could my husband.
Rejected or want to help someone who has been?

This book is well-written by a young woman who felt her world collapse when her fiance said, "I can't do it" at the wedding rehearsal. She experienced the natural human emotions but eventually realized her faith in God was the answer. She shares her spiritual journey with other women experiencing rejection of any kind in the hope they, too, will find their way from rejection to fulfilled lives. This book is a MUST READ for any woman who has been rejected for any reason.
A Must Read

This little paperback is essential reading for everybody, not just someone who has been left at the altar. We have all been there, metaphorically at least, and Ms. Kennedy with her wisdom and compassion guides us through her very public dumping to a place of spirituality and God-ness. Ms. Kennedy literally got left at the altar at her wedding rehearsal and heard the awful words, "I just can't do it," from her groom. No whiner, she, but a strong woman who shares her story of rejection and those of others who call upon their inner strength to find hope. Not just wise words but a good read.
