This was one of the most interesting stories ever! Lefty Gomez, the great pitcher on the NY Yankees with his teammates Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio! They were all great friends & hung out together. What a difference from today! Didn't even get a free ticket, had to pay his own way! Wool uniforms! From poverty playing ball in an empty field with rocks for bases and a homemade mound, & a make shift bat! What lives they led!
