Dr. Woody's book should be required reading for any mental health care provider - in any form of practice. He offers excellent advice on the spectrum of potential problem areas including, record-keeping, dual relationships, the standard of care, etc. What makes his book unique amongst the many (relatively) in this field is his common sense approach and verbiage. The other books are either written by lawyers and sound like lawyers or writen by academic forensic mental health experts who write in a very academic fashion. Dr. Woody writes with the knowledge of a lawyer, but in an easily understood language and manner. Also helpful are the many questions he poses in his text which add to the practical readability.Great book!
