The most enjoyable work of Civil War fiction I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I couldn't put this book down and I paid for that at work the next morning!
Amazing Civil War Romance

I don't normally write reviews for books I've read, but I feel compelled to in this case. It was a great story that I couldn't put down. The main character, L'il Bud, doesn't just stay on the plantation and wait for her man, but follows the drum into war. A northern woman falls for a Confederate Soldier in this great Civil War Novel. It's like taking a trip into history.
