What became of the little colt who bore Christ on his triumphant entry into Jerusalem? And How the colt must have trembled when he realised that he would, for the first time, carry a man on his back, who was 'the King of every king'. This title shares the story of that historic life-changing day.
What a beautiful and creative way of telling children about Palm Sunday! Although my child is still too young to fully understand this story (She's one.), I'm thrilled to have it on the shelf so that when she is ready we can read it together. I'm always on the lookout for books that communicate the Gospel in a compelling and creative way. This book does it. The illustrations are superbe too.
Beautiful

I saw this book at the bookstore and had to pick it up. My husband teaches 2nd grade religious class and I teach 7th and 8th. We are always looking for things to bring Jesus to life for our students. When i read this story it really made the beautiful story of Palm Sunday to life for young children. It is told from the point of view of the donkey that Jesus rode into town on and how privledged he felt to have the opportunity to meet and serve Jesus. The same way we should all feel when serving the Lord. The illustrations are also very beautiful and help bring the story to life. A very enjoyable and beautiful book.
