Moms and little girls grow closer to God and each other with this sweet collection of devotional stories and Bible verses. Ages 4-7. This description may be from another edition of this product.
My daughter since age 3 (now 6) asks me to read from this book more than all her other Christian/moral lesson books. All the stories are situations that could actually happen in some sort of way to young girls. The stories are just the right length, there are a few good review questions at the end of each story, then the "moral lesson" is stated with a short relevant scripture. The illustrations are adorable with hidden angels. I'm pretty sure that the person who reviewed the book Jan, 2004 was not describing this book. The stories she mentions are not in this book. Nothing even close. There is absolutely nothing graphic about his book!! I even gave this book to a non practicing Christian for her daughter's birthday and they love it!
Great moral lessons!

After buying the Little Girls Bible for Mothers and Daughters, also by Carolyn Larsen, I decided to buy the Little Girls Devotional Storybook for Mothers and Daughters. It is great! My 3 daughters (ages 6, 4, 2) read the first three stories this evening and we didn't want to stop! I felt like the author was speaking just to my daughters: lessons on obeying, saying thank you and attitudes. I really appreciate this author and her series of books for Mothers and Daughters, Mothers and Sons, and coming soon, Fathers and Daughters. It is simple reading with a moral lesson and bible verses to back it up. My girls love these books because they get to search for the tiny hidden angels on every page! Great illustrations and delightful stories. Well worth the money.
