Delightful young child's book with a sweet lesson

It's a simple story, really, but told with charm and a great message - be playful, enjoy life, but follow the rules to stay safe. The love between the little girl and her dog is touching in both words and pictures. The illustrations are superb. I'm always looking for read-along books with both story value and a good message to give very young relatives and friends and have found a new favorite! Hopefully there will be more from this talented team. Highly recommended.
