Little Monkey is having a bad day. After a major meltdown, he goes to his room and uses some coping techniques to calm down. He sings a a quiet song, cuddles with his blankie, and learns how take deep breaths. A relatable book for toddlers that teaches self soothing in an effective way.
My almost 2 year old granddaughter responded immediately to the artwork in this book, returning to it again and again. I wish I had this book for her mom when she was little! Anyone with a little monkey at their house should add this book to their toolbelt for those times when their child has a tantrum. It really works! Highly recommended.

This is a short board book, great for toddlers, that teaches emotional regulation. I’m a nanny and find it really useful with my littles!

This is a sweet little book about a monkey that has a crying fit b/c he dropped his ice cream. Little Monkey is shown that although it's okay to cry there are several techniques he can use to calm down and get back to having fun. The story line is very simple but it has helped my toddler learn some ways to calm down when she's upset. She loves the illustrations and runs to get the book when she's upset so we can read it together.
