The "Little Rabbit" series of books are perfect for preschoolers!

I first stumbled upon this delightful book at the local library, and what a find! My 3.5 year old daughter is in a 'bunny phase' - she loves everything to do with rabbits and when I saw this I knew I had to check it out. The star of the book is Little Rabbit, a cute bunny who always walks around in an adorable little costume and gets into wonderful little adventures. Here, he goes to school for the first time, and insists on bringing along his favorite toy, Charlie Horse. Needless to say, Charlie Horse ends up being quite a distraction in class! The illustrations are part of what makes this book so appealing to little ones - they are simply gorgeous whilst drawing out the lovable characteristics in the characters - also, the text is appropriately suited for reading aloud to younger readers, and even for older readers who are able to read. All in all, the "Little Rabbit" series of books by author-illustrator Harry Horse is delightful, well-written and beautifully illustrated!

A wonderfully charming book! My 3 1/2 year old loves for me to read this book over and over again to her and I am happy to! I won't go into detail about the story since it has already been reviewed, but I highly recomment this book. It really is a gem.

I WAS DRAWN TO THIS BOOK'S COVER & WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED WHEN I READ IT. THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE WONDERFUL & THE NAUGHTY TOY HORSE IS SO FUNNY! KIDS WILL LEARN THEY DON'T NEED THEIR HORSE OR OTHER COMFORT TOY AT SCHOOL, IT'S GOOD TO SHARE & WILL HELP YOU MAKE FRIENDS, THE BENEFITS OF OBEYING & WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET LOST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
Little Rabbit Goes to School

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but when I discovered no one had written one yet for this terrific book I felt it was my duty. My daughter received this as a gift, and now I give it to every little kid I know because it has everything a picture book should have-wit, sweetness, characters with character, well-balanced writing, and uniquely engaging illustrations. Harry Horse's genuinely charming (and never cutesy) text and illustrations are perfectly compatible, the text with just the right tone and pacing and the illustrations full of great details that continue to be amusing with many readings. Little Rabbit's Charley Horse is a lovably naughty alter ego that every kid and grownup kid can relate to on some level. Harry Horse's first Little Rabbit Lost is good too, but he brought Little Rabbit to life even more in this second book. Among so many flashy, glib, celebrity-endorsed, marketing-contrived, over-illustrated and underwritten, soulless books being published these days, this is an enduringly good one.
