WHAT'S ONE LITTLE WHITE LIE? Okay, so it isn't that little. It's kind of a whopper. It's just that when Natalie Raglan ups and quits her job at a Bath advertising firm, breaks up with her loser-ish boyfriend, and moves-to London Things don't quite turn out the way she planned. Having made the brave move to the Big City, the lifelong country mouse finds that living chic is still a long way off. Even Cressida, the girl who used to rent her tiny flat, still gets more phone calls and mail there than Nat does. Come to think of it, Cressida Langdon's life looks pretty appealing-especially when an invitation to the posh, exclusive Soho House club arrives, addressed to Cressida. Before she really knows what she's done, Nat has opened Cressida's mail . . . and taken up her life. Soon Nat's dating a gorgeous investment banker named Simon, giving "reiki healing sessions," wearing wonderful clothes, and partying with the A-list at Soho House. But the best part really is Simon. He's everything Nat has ever wanted. The problem is he thinks she's someone else. And as her life and her lies begin to spiral out of control, Nat can't help but wonder: Will she be exposed as a liar and a fake-or be saved from ruin by simply claiming good intentions . . . .
This is one of the few romance novels I've read that I truly can relate to the main character. I believe Natalie is someone we can all relate to. She moves to the city to shake up her life and figuratively create a whole new persona. However, she does this literally by opening mail of the previous tenant, Cressida, and adopting her glamorous and sophisticated lifestyle. With a little "dutch courage", Natalie calls a man introduced in one of Cressida's letters and falls madly in love, but as Cressida. Although it seems farfetched, Gemma Townley does a wonderful job with the story line and the whole plot falls right into place. At the end, it felt like it could happen to anyone of us. The story is both funny and romantic and just a bit inspirational. I absolutely adored it and will rush to pick up Gemma's other book.
Lots of fun and many smiles to be had.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down. All of the characters were very enjoyable and Natalie aka: Cressida was a gas! Such a girlfriend! She was believable, at least in my world!, and I could totally see myself falling into the same kind of trouble she got herself into time and time again. ... it was such a small little twist of the truth! I giggled alot throughout this book! Now I've ordered the other books by this author to see if I get the same reaction! I give this book 5 starz and I surely wouldn't mind a sequel!!! JMHO //(*_*)\\

This book was very refreshing and I could hardly put it down! Cressida, I mean Natalie, was very down to earth and darling. Who hasn't told a little white lie in their life? My 21 YO niece lent me this book (I share with her my Sophie Kinsella books - who recommended this book) and I am glad. I can hardly wait to read When in Rome!
Awesome!

This is a great book - it kept me laughing and crying all the way through, and okay it isnt entirely believbable but who cares when it's this myuch fun. Natalie is just someone who's searching for answers and it's a real hoot watching her as one little lie leads to another... and then another... I'm looking forward to the next book from this author now!
