Lewellyn's Matical Almanac series has been a must have on my reading list for years. They are collections of writings by people within the craft. Often providing valuable insights into the ways that other people think and do things, they should be part of any serious students reading. Personally I purchase the newest one each year.
Has anyone mentioned the food recipes???

Not only does this almanac offer a wide range of wicca traditions which are educational, enlightening and fun; but the FOOD! If you scrounge a copy of this edition, make the Harvest recipes, the stew, cornbread and pumpkin bars. YUM! I made these for Halloween (Samhain) using red lentils, not black (sold out!); and the food was delicious and easy to make. I've made the stew twice and always tasty. The pumpkin bars will be a Halloween tradition from now on.
More than your average Almanac

This almanac is a must-have for the modern day Wicca. It has, among other things, vital information such as lunar cycles and Sabbats. It also has recipes, histories on various magickal subjects, and helpful spells. It is easy to read and all the information is valuable, yet concise. I highly recommend this book for the practicing Wicca and anyone else who is interested.
