When my parents died, I had to look out for myself. But that doesn't mean I can't also look after others. When I'm accepted to Locrottum Academy as part of their new Hybrid scholarship program. There are a lot of students here who look down on us, one more so than the others: Jeremy Higgins. The dude has a serious attitude problem. Perhaps he just needs a dose of his own medicine, of knowing what it feels like to look different. The only thing I didn't take into consideration was my punishment for dealing out some justice. Why do I have to be stuck with him until the curse I put on him ends? It's going to take him forever to learn the errors of his ways. Jeremy
The injustice of it all! I can't believe my aunt is letting her get away with turning me into some kind of freak! My friends won't even come near me. I'm all alone, well... except for her. She's the only person who will talk to me. Why should I be punished for expressing my opinion? Well, I spoke too soon. Perhaps it's not so bad to be around Deidra. Even if she's just as loud as I am. I've never had someone stand up to me as she has. If I show her I'm trying to change will she lift this curse off my face? Maybe, just maybe, I'm the problem.
