Alone in turn-of-the-century Chicago and framed for a crime he did not commit, Patrick's hopes are answered in the form of the lovely Lauren, a time traveler from present-day Southern California. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is the kind of story that stays with you after you've read it. (I love those kind of stories.) It's also the kind of story that you actually feel the character's pain when they do - I think Ms. Wolfe did an excellent job writing. My only wish is that she had written more books than just this one and one other. The only problem I had with this book: I really don't believe the driver's licenses in California in 1995 could be ripped as easily as it was in the story...wouldn't they have been laminated by then??? I highly recommend this book if you're a lover of time travel romances!
