The highly acclaimed author of Italy the Beautiful and The Villa Table--who's also host of the highly successful PBS cooking series The de'Medici Kitchen--now presents what is certain to become the essential pasta cookbook. Written in simple, easy-to-follow language, the book provides an engaging history of pasta and more than 200 fabulous recipes. Glossary. 80 color photos.
I used to be suspicious of beautiful cookbooks, not so with Signora De'Medici. Her recipes are reliable and delicious and this book, like her others, is a pleasure to cook from. There is also interesting information on all types of pasta, regional information and reproductions of old images of pasta vendors, pasta makers, pasta wolfers etc. But best of all the recipes are simple, tasty and I've never had one that didn't work out really well.
A Good Book on Pasta

Not your classic cookbook; dedicated to pasta, this teaches you about the culture around pasta and all its uses. The instructions on how to make pasta should be more detailed. But everything I have cooked from here has been well received.
Solid Primer in Pasta

Beautifully created and photographed, this primer teaches the basics of pasta. With easy to use recipes, simple techniques, the outcome is always tasty. Lorenza's recipe on basic pasta could use a little more description but overall it is a solid book.
