Stacy Pershall grew up as an overly intelligent, depressed, deeply strange girl in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, population 1,000. From her days as a thirteen-year-old Jesus freak through her eventual diagnosis of bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, this spirited memoir chronicles Pershall's journey through hell and her struggle with the mental health care system.
The title is so fitting; if you've suffered through BPD, you'll totally "get it". A must read.

Raw and uncut. Should be helpful for the loved ones of the individual suffering from this disorder; most people don't understand and can't grasp what folks with BPD go through within themselves.
this is my favorite book.

As someone with BPD, I bought this book as it seemed to be one of the few I could find that wasn't describing people with the disorder as evil, evil beings. This book is so very relatable, so very raw, and truly fascinating to read. It is just Stacy's truth. I can't say enough about this memoir. It will forever be one of my favorite books.
fast read, heart-wrenching and hilarious at the same time
