Over the course of twenty-four years of writing, this first volume traces Klein's theories on childhood development, criminality and childhood psychosis, symbol formation, and the early development of conscience. With the exception of "Narrative of a Child Analysis," which features a foreword by Elliott Jaques, each volume contains a set of explanatory notes put together by the Editorial Board of the Trust in an effort to draw connections between the main themes of Klein's earlier and later work.

Al thought dear M.Klein, regarding her private life story, was quite unhappy and caught between circumstances she could not even dream in her worst nightmares she really gave us a masterpiece. The way of thinking, the way of connecting to patients is easier and her writings are some kind of guide in to this beautifully world of human psyche. To approach someone knowing that he/she is a world of people that he/she loved, hated,related is a reach full experience. So, other words, you get to understand her and thank her for all she did for helping people. It sure helped me.
