The Florentine artist Luciano Bartolini died in 1994 at the age of 46. From his "Kleenex" series of the 1960s to his late works, Bartolini's art concerned itself with the textures or modest materials, upon which he frequently inscribed fragments of enigmatic symbols. He described his project as a "journey of associations intricate with aspirations, hopes, dreams and memories."
