Julie Berman seems to have it all: a beautiful home in suburban New Jersey, a loving husband, a budding career as a freelance journalist, and two great kids. Little do the neighbors know that behind... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Who can resist this carpool through suburbia? A smart, funny read for anyone with a family. A great mix of life's celebrations, disappointments and realities. Looking forward to the next journey with Ms. Borden.

It was nice to finally read a piece of fiction where the heroine didn't have to battle kidnappers, drug addictions, or mad serial rapists. It's a heartwarming tale about one woman, used to living the routine life, finding herself wrestling with a series of unexpected and sometimes outright-funny events. It's life in the real world, situations that could -- and do -- happen to all of us. It's the real world, cover to cover. I highly recommend it.
I laughed and cried

Debra Borden's exquisite use of language and character studies in her first book are reminiscent of Elizabeth Berg. I laughed, cried and shook my head in understanding (was she writing about my teenaged son?). I couldn't wait to finish it and then was disappointed when there was no more. I hope she is working on a second novel.

I loved it!!!!!!!! Laughed so hard I actually cried. Ms. Borden's descriptions of her childrens problems fit amazingly well with my own life. I simply can not wait for the next book... Watch out Danielle Steel you've got some serious competition now.
Wow, what a story.

What a story! For a first novel Ms. Borden has hit the mark. Well paced with characters that you love. I can't think of one thing negative about this book. Ms. Borden's depiction of Mother to Daughter to Daughter relationship with an occasional assist from Father, Husband and Son is exquisite. I would recommend this read to any Mother, Father, Daughter, Husband, Wife or Son!!!!!!!!!!!!!
