The year was 1969. David Coulter and Robert Rubyan hitchhiked to Mexico on the ethnopharmacological journey of their youth. On their travels David wrote letters to friends back in the states, to be or not to be successfully mailed upon our return. As David wrote his prose, Robert recorded their travels through the visual arts of illustration and photography. This book has been compiled as a period accurate monument to that trip and the art of 60s counterculture. David's letter have been left in his original words as he wrote them. All of the art is from Robert's journal that was drawn on this trip.
