What do a high-heeled shoe, a ribbon bonnet, an ear of corn, an angel, and a beehive have in common? They're all uncommonly delightful pincushions! Now craftspeople can pull their needles from their old worn-out pincushions and make new ones. Shown in inspiring full-color photographs, 93 projects include antique and country-style creations to use, display, or to sell.

This book is a treasure of wonderful ideas for gift-making pincushions! The pictures are beautifully done, and instructions are clear. Also, the book itself would be a fine gift for a sewer/crafter on anyone's list!
A must for the craft library of lovers of Victoriana.

I never thought I'd rave over a book about pincushions but this book was a delight. Victoriana lovers know that a house cannot be too overcrowded with lacy, satiny, fussy little objects. Pincushions certainly fill that bill. Making Fabulous Pincushions is aptly titled. The abundant, color photographs make your mind race with the possibilities. I never realized how many different types of pincushions abounded. While those included in this book were strongly ornamental, they could definitely be used if you so wish as functional pincushions. There is something for every level of crafting ability and instructions are clear. Definitely a must have for the libraries of crafters and Victoriana lovers.
