I finished this book a few days ago, and liked it so much that my husband thought he'd read the first few pages. He found he couldn't put it down, staying up until 3.00 in the morning reading it! Written by the producer of the movie "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," it's an insider's look at the challenges and amusing absurdity of trying to get a film made about an off-beat subject (drag queens) set in a remote part of the world (the Australian outback) long before anyone suspected it would be a worldwide smash hit. From Cannes to Broken Hill, the book gives a taste of what life in the movie business is like. Very fun and entertaining - a great read!
If you loved the movie, then this book is a must!

This tale of the creation of the Oscar-winning film is almost as funny as the movie itself. As anyone who's seen Priscilla can tell, making it truly was a labour of love, and what these folks went through to see it come to life makes for one fantastic read, which I won't spoil with all the details. This comes with my highest recommendation!
