In a straightforward narrative the author speaks directly to the reader as she describes the mammals and her two-year-old experience on location with the manatees who live on the Crystal River in Florida.--The Horn Book.
This is a wonderful book that is divided into 8 sections and depicts beautiful photography. The mother/daughter team give an accurate description of the manatee and their plight.
