As a pediatric nurse with ICU experience I truly feel that this doctor has the correct approach to the care of critically ill children. This is not a cookbook of critical care. I work at a university medical center and this is the book they use for their PICU classes (mandatory for anyone who wants to work in the unit). This book will NOT a PICU nurse make. However, I believe it is a FINE place to start as it covers almost everything you will see in a PICU. Her thought processes are logical and easy to follow.
Fantastic!

I heard the author of this book at a conference, and KNEW I had to have her manual. She presents relevant information in such a clear, concise, and interesting manner. I will use this book as a teaching aide for my pediatric nursing course.

This book is a must for any nurse working in a pediatric intensive care setting. It is an excellent resource that provides quick answers to questions!
