The fall of a first class fighting man

Ken Lukowiak served with 2 Para in the Falklands (see "A Soldiers Song") with great distinction. After the war his battalion went to Belieze.....In Belieze he came into contact with drugs in a big way, and being a young soldier, fresh from the horrors of war, he sucumbed.This, extremely funny, extremely tragic, account is his fall from grace is well written, pacy, and is a real page turner. Incidents with the post, accidently getting a colour sergeant stoned in the jungle, and being convinced that guatemalan snipers were behind every tree show both the comedy and the dangers of soldiers taking drugs. It is not only funny, but relevent to squaddies in a way that the standard anti-drugs films are not. ....
