I love Mary Margaret she has spunk and personality galore! She starts off the Christmas season with her family; Mom, Dad, older teenage brother JT and baby sister Liza, shopping for the right tree. The perfect tree has to have high lower branches to make room for tons of presents!! Mary Margaret is constantly refining her Christmas wish list which at times reaches five pages. Of course, there is the day to day build up to Christmas, attending school and dealing with a false accusation of stealing. There are many lessons about peace in human relationships. JT is having "girl trouble", Mom and Dad are having issues, Mr. Mooney's third grade class has numerous personality conflicts and a problem with stealing. You must buy this book to see how Mary Margaret learns how to forgive a classmate and in the process learns that giving is "almost as good" as receiving.
