This collection of photographs (187 altogether) was selected by America's leading museum directors and curators for a series of exhibitions called Photography in the Fine Arts, which took place from 1959 to 1967. It contains the work of over 130 photographers and photojournalists such as Ansel Adams, Robert Capa, Burk Uzzle and Marie Cosindas. This book encapsulates the best of their work - in photographs that epitomize an event, a personality or an era. Many of the works included have become classics.
Despite being out of print, this remains one of the best photo books I own. The images are compelling and takes you on a tour of the second half of the last century in photography. From Robert Capa to Ansel Adams, this is bound to inspire you. Let it be printed again !
