My art education started in Paris at the age of 22 my love of Delicroix, took me there. The next leg was to Aix-en Provence to study Cezanne. Finally to the Cote for Matisse. I was friends with a American artist called Etien, who lived across the street from "le reve". It was always an inspiration walking past and drinking in the night air. Now painting in Boston, MA the magic of that time comes though in this well written and photographed glimpse of Matisse and his work at "le reve"
