I feel as though this book is a great resource for inspiration. There is a wealth of material presented within that covers a wide variety of visual aesthetic and projects. It's all presented in a very straight forward way and is easy to navigate. There is everything from very clean, simple design to one off projects using letterpress and hand rendered type. Moreover, in reference to the review that claims the design is "too loud," I disagree. Each page profiles a particular project or spread and contains a single light blue call out box with a kind off "lessons learned" message regarding each project. It reminds me a bit of the way Charles Stuart Anderson does his type. I don't feel like it distracts from the pieces at all and is actually helpful for folks like myself who like to scan through books like these looking for sources of inspiration. I really like this book and highly recommend it for designers and students alike.
